Day 01: Flight Day from Kathmandu to Lukla, Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, then Back to Kathmandu
From Kathmandu to Lukla (5:30-8:15 AM): Your tour begins with an early pickup from your hotel. Then you are transferred to the domestic airport for the flight to Lukla. Before taking off, a short safety briefing is provided, and the journey continues with the slow lights of the morning. First, it takes you to Lukla, the starting point of every Everest trek and helicopter tour in the Khumbu/Everest region.
With the scenic flight to Lukla, you see the immediate change of landscape from the crowd of houses in Kathmandu to the peaceful Khumbu hills, rivers, and small settlements. Reaching Lukla, you stop for a brief time to refuel and adapt to the altitude before getting higher in the Khumbu region.
From Lukla to Everest Base Camp via Kala Patthar (8:30-9:30 AM): As you take off from Lukla, you can see the Dudh Koshi River below you and the high hills surrounding it.
